Dear parent/ carer,
Hewlett College Post-16 London Winter Trip – Wednesday 10th December 2025
To provide a cultural and festive experience in the heart of the capital, Hewlett College’s Post-16 students will be visiting central London on Wednesday 10th December 2025.
The day will include visits to festive markets in Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, and Covent Garden. The trip aims to reward and engage our most dedicated students, using public transport to navigate the city and to provide the experience of independence and enrichment.
Cost
The cost of this trip is £10 per student with payments being made via ParentPay. This needs to be paid by Thursday 4th December.
Trip Logistics and Travel
The meeting point for all successful students will be Queenborough Train Station. Students will need to arrive at the train station no later than 8.30am for registration. Students will travel with staff to Central London using both rail and London Underground services.
To assist with travel to the meeting point, students who normally travel by bus to school should note the following routes:
- For travel within the Island: Students can use the Chalkwell 334 service.
- For travel from Sittingbourne: Students can use the Travel Masters 373s service.
Both these services will drop students at Queenborough Train Station, which is our designated meeting location.
Lunch Arrangements
As this will be an all day event, you will need to provide your child with a packed lunch and plenty of water. Students have the option to purchase food while in London. We strongly encourage sensible spending and secure storage of any personal belongings.
Uniform expectations
Smart, comfortable, appropriate clothing and footwear to be worn.
