Dear parents/ carers,
Household Support Fund
We are writing to inform you about the Household Support Fund (HSF) on behalf of Swale Borough Council. This scheme is funded by the UK Government, and is for those families most in need of support to help with the significantly rising cost of living costs. The HSF can support Food, Gas, Electric and Water.
In order to be eligible for the HSF you are required to;
● Have access to an email address,
● Be a Swale resident,
● Be aged 16 or over,
● Be at risk because you are unable to assess funds to help you,
● Be in arrears with your utility provider, and
● Have less than £500 in your bank/ savings account
The HSF can support families with a virtual prepaid card which is to be used to pay your utility provider only, there is also the ‘prepayment meter support’ which is a service that will provide families with a fuel voucher in partnership with the Fuel Bank, and support via the local Food Banks.
If you would like to be referred to the HSF for support, please complete the Google Form below by Friday 6th February 2026.
The academy will then support families by completing a schools referral form with the details provided by you, with this then sent to the HSF.
The HSF is an external provider and they will contact you directly to discuss the support you require. The academy will not be able to provide an update once the referrals have been sent to the HSF.
