Please read the following update from the Department for Education:

“We want to reassure parents that progress continues to be made towards securing approval for the planned reorganisation of secondary education on the Isle of Sheppey, including: the opening of two new mainstream academies in place of the Oasis Isle of Sheppey (one run by Leigh Academies Trust (LAT) on the Minster site and the other by EKC Schools Trust on the Sheerness site); the establishment of a satellite of the Snowfields special school, run by LAT, at the Minster site; and the creation of a new alternative provision school by Alternative Learning Trust. We will write to you with further information about next steps as soon as possible.”
