Leigh Academy Minster is delighted to share its first ever set of Post 16 results. Having joined the academy midway through their chosen courses, our students have been phenomenal ambassadors for Hewlett College and have shown incredible commitment and dedication to completing their studies and reaching their chosen destinations.
The academy’s performance showed significant growth compared to the predecessor academy, with a number of subjects recording record results. Most importantly, our students benefited from studying at Leigh Academy Minster this year, with all students able to continue to their chosen onward destinations. This included 49% of our Hewlett College students going on to university, 15% continuing their studies in apprenticeships and further education colleges, and 36% entering the workplace.
Whist all of our student achievement deserves to be celebrated, special mention and recognition for achievement goes to the students below:
Notable achievements include:
- Finley – Grades: Achieved a D*D*D in extended diploma in sport. Destination: Sports therapy and rehabilitation at Canterbury Christ Church University
- Abbie – Grades: Achieved a B,C,C in A level history, Film and art. Destination: Architecture at the University of Kent
- Skyla – Grades: Achieved a B, Distinction & merit in law, finance and creative media. Destination: Law at the University of Kent
- Aiden – Grades: Achieved a D* D* D in extended diploma in sport. Destination: Sports and exercise science at Canterbury Christ Church University
- Sky – Grades: Achieved a grade C, merit and merit in criminology, psychology and child care. Destination: Law with criminology at Brighton University
