Leigh Academy Minster is delighted to share exciting news regarding Leigh Academy Minster’s recent participation in a Challenge Partners Quality Assurance Review. This review, conducted by experienced external educational professionals, was a valuable opportunity to assess our progress since opening our doors in September and to identify areas of strength and potential future development.
Challenge Partners is a nationally recognised organisation that is considered the gold standard in external school reviews. The review teams consist of Ofsted inspectors and externally appointed experienced senior leaders from schools across the country. The review, conducted over three days, provided the review team with a comprehensive view of academy life. This includes lesson observations, meetings with students, staff, and governors, and reviews of parental surveys, giving them a full understanding of the academy’s values, culture, and ethos.

Quality of Provision and Outcomes: Effective. This judgement recognises the significant impact our curriculum, teaching and learning strategies, and assessment practices have on student attendance, behaviour, academic progress, and attainment.
Furthermore, we are incredibly proud to announce that Leigh Academy Minster has been awarded Area of Excellence Accreditation for our Small School College model. This prestigious accreditation recognises the innovative and successful approach we have taken in creating a supportive and personalised learning experience for our students.
This report is a significant milestone in Leigh Academy Minster’s journey, and we are truly proud of the work our staff and students do on a daily basis.
