Leigh Academy Minster is delighted to announce that it has officially achieved IB World School Status, just nine months after opening its doors. This prestigious accreditation enables us to deliver the renowned International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP), a highly ambitious and globally recognised curriculum offer.
Achieving this status in such a short period is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and students. It reflects our unwavering commitment to providing an exceptional and innovative education. This IBCP offer, which we will be delivering from 1st September, provides a distinct point of difference for our students when compared to other local schools, positioning them for success in their chosen careers and future academic pursuits.
The IBCP is specifically designed for students aged 16-19 and combines the academic rigour of the International Baccalaureate with career-related learning. This ensures our students gain not only in-depth subject knowledge but also practical, real-world skills that are highly valued by universities and employers. This unique approach aligns perfectly with our academy’s values of ambition and achievement, empowering our students to become confident, well-rounded, and career-ready young adults.
We look forward to welcoming our first IBCP cohort in September and are excited to see them flourish as they embark on this unique educational journey.
