Parents Evenings at LAM
Parents’ Evenings are an important way of sharing information on your child’s academic progress. We know parents/ carers welcome the opportunity to meet teachers.
We offer at least one Parents’ Evening for all year groups each academic year, with extra support at important times, such as choosing options and post-16 planning. Parents’ Evenings take place at the academy, face to face.
The academy uses an easy to use online appointment booking system for parents evenings.
This system allows you to choose your own appointment times with teachers online.
You will receive an email and letter from the academy (please ensure the academy has your up to date email address) approximately three/ four weeks prior to your child’s parents evening. When you receive this email please log onto your My Child At School account to book appointments.
Please see the link for guidance on how to book your appointments.

Parents Evening advice
Please see below some advice we recommend to consider when booking your Parents Evening appointments:
We would suggest setting a reminder for this date and time if you have particular time slots you would prefer. Bookings are made on a first come first served basis.
We would recommend that you do not use the “Quick Book” function as this may result in you not getting the appointments with all of the staff that you wish to see. This is likely to happen if too many people are trying to ‘Quick Book’ at the same time.
It is vitally important that parents/ carers attend this event. Your child(ren) is expected to attend the appointments with you and as they are on the academy site, we expect them to wear their academy uniform.
Try to spread the appointments out as much as possible and give yourself time to move from one interview to the next.
- It is essential that you arrive for each appointment on time. Staff will not be able to exceed the allocated time for the appointment with you unless there are exceptional circumstances.
The Inclusion department will also be in attendance for drop-in sessions for parents and students with SEN. This is a good opportunity to discuss the provision your child is receiving as well as discuss the holistic development of your child.
If you are yet to activate your My Child At School account, please contact your child’s college prior to the day bookings go live.
