Chalkwell accepts Kent Travel Saver and 16+ passes, which can be purchased from Kent County Council. Chalkwell accepts cash and contactless payments. Live vehicle tracking and ticket purchases can also be done on the MyTrip app.

KCC Travel Cards

The KCC Travel Saver is a bus pass that can save parents and pupils up to 50% on the cost of travel to and from school.

For most children’s journeys, this pass will save you around 50% of what you might pay for an annual season ticket from a bus operator.

The Kent Travel Saver team at KCC facilitates this. Applications need to be made directly by parents/ carers to them through the button below

KCC Travel Saver Application

application is successful, the travel card will be sent to the academy. The academy will notify your child when it is ready to collect and will record when your child has collected their card. It is your child’s responsibility to take care of this card.

Cycling to and from the academy

All students are able to use the academy bicycle racks to lock their bicycles each day at their own risk. Students are required to bring their own bike locks in. Students are not permitted to ride electric scooters to and from the academy, and they will not be permitted to access the site with them in their possession. We also recommend all families review the national guidance on their usage.

Drop off and pick up by car

All parents/carers that drop off and collect their child each day are asked to do so using the academy’s large visitors car park which can be found to the left of the academy’s entrance road. Please note that it takes students around 5 minutes to walk from the carp park to the college line-up area, so please plan accordingly to ensure your child is able to make it to this area on time.

On foot

Students who walk to the academy each day should plan their journey accordingly to ensure they are on time each day.
