Leigh Academy Minster Post 16 Open Evening Event – Thursday 13th November 2025
We are delighted to invite you and your child to our Post 16 Open Evening at Leigh Academy Minster on Thursday 13th November, from 4:00pm – 6:00pm. This event is designed for the parents of Year 11 students who will be considering our academy for September 2026 admissions.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you and your child to explore the exciting possibilities for their next steps in education at our academy. Choosing the right pathway after year 11 is a crucial decision, and we are committed to providing a high-quality, inspiring, and diverse Post 16 experience.
During the evening, you will have the opportunity to:
- Attend a talk to hear more about our comprehensive Post 16 curriculum offer.
- Meet the Post 16 team who will guide and support your child through their studies.
- Take a tour of our facilities, which are designed to support advanced learning.
- Meet our current Post 16 students and talk to them firsthand about their experience at Leigh Academy Minster.
- Speak with our subject teachers to discuss the content and demands of the courses.
We are excited to share details of our outstanding curriculum, which include full-time level 3 pathways designed to suit a variety of ambitions and learning styles:
- International Baccalaureate Career-Related Programme (IBCP): As a fully accredited academy, this programme combines academic study with career-related learning, giving students a pathway to higher education and future employment.
- Vocational Pathway: We offer an exciting range of Level 3 vocational courses, which focus on practical skills and industry knowledge, preparing students directly for a career or university study.
- T Level: Education and Early Years: T Levels are high-quality, technical courses equivalent to three A-Levels, offering students a substantial industry placement and in-depth preparation for a skilled occupation.
